此研究以已婚雙性戀男性為研究對象，藉由受訪者運用手機交友網絡服務Scruff，探究在行動通訊的社交網絡運用及尋求社會支持之關聯性。結果發現以使用動機來看，工具性及娛樂性動機能獲得滿足機率高，但是在社交性滿意度則相對偏低。值得一提的是，全部受訪者都會在不滿意的心理狀態下繼續使用手機通訊服務交友軟體，但同時也使用傳統電腦平台的社群網絡來尋求社會支持，此種「探索與滿足的循環模式」的現象重新詮釋了在通訊傳播時代下的「使用與滿足」理論結構。
Utilizing the ＂uses and gratifications＂ approach, this study is to explore social networking applications for married bisexual men to secure social support. With the view of use motivation, the results showed that the motivations of easy access and entertainment could be met by using the Scruff, but the sociability motivation was relatively low. The respondents corrected the impression of using the mobile media, but also change the expectations of social networking services. All the respondents would continue to use Scruff although feeling dissatisfied with the needs of social support, but also get back to use personal computers to seek social support by using the ＂old school＂ social networks. Instead of using one form of media, the new phenomenon marks the multiple uses of various media forms of social networking services can meet the physical and psychological needs, and the use experiences of respondents re-interpret the theoretical structure of the theory, creating the cycle of exploration and gratification experiencing by an app user during social support searching.
