　　　　　本文試圖借用米歇•傅寇對權力、論述與空間的理論見解，再進一步理論化公共空間。首先，作者指出公共空間與公共領域之間的理論接合，是我們需面對的工作，公共領域被視為一種批判性的論述空間，而資產階級烏托邦的公共性，就是種全視建築之隱喻。再者，可將公共空間當作一種異質空間，它是一種表徵與再現的空間，也是建構主體所必需的反省之鏡；然而，公共空間也是個真實的空間，它將會是都市過程的積極元素，最後，我們在結論裡，反省設計實踐與設計研究的方法論。
　　　　　In this paper, Michel Foucault's theoretical insights on power, discourse and space are adapted for retheorizing the public space. First, a theoretical articulation between the public space and the public sphere is the focus. The public sphere is dealt with as a critical discursive space, however, the utopia of the bourgeois public sphere is one of the metaphors of Panopticon. Then, the public space may be perceived as a heterotopia which is a representational space of reflective mirror for sujectivity constitution. After that, considering the public space also as the real space, it is a positive element in urban process. Finally, a methodological reflection on design practice and design research will be concluded.
