作為媒體文本研究途徑之一，批判論述分析近幾年逐漸在媒體研究中受到注意，本論文嘗試就其理論及其在傳播媒體上的應用作一討論。首先就批判論述分析的語言學系譜作一探討，發現其可溯及功能語言學派。接著本論文分就上學派的主要倡議者Fowler、van Dijk 與 Fairclough 三人的分析策略作一探討與比較，發現其主張與立論上的差異仍不小。最後，本論文以為批判論述分析可以廣泛的運作在華文的媒體文本上。

　　　　　The critical discourse analysis (CDA) have recently become an approach of considerable interest in contemporary media studies. This paper is devoted to a number of topics related to CDA. The first section locates the intellectual sources of CDA in linguistics and language contexts. In the remaining part of the paper some of the key arguments should be reviewed in CDA of the mass media, as advanced by writers such as Fowler, van Dijk and Fairclough. These divergent theorizations set the scene for the theoretical disputes and lays the foundations for an understanding of contemporary theoretical discussion.
