Communication and interactivity skills are important in peer learning and also are essentials for forming online learning community. The purpose of this research was to explore factors inference the development of online learning community. A training workshop of My Partners-Our Partners, based on peer caring strategies was designed for enhancing undergraduates’ communication and interactivity abilities. The purpose for implementing My Partners-Our Partners workshop was to see if it had impact on students' behaviors of online learning communities at Facebook and whether and what their behaviors changed after the workshop. A concurrent triangulation design of mixed research method was adapted in this research. The subjects were 52 undergraduate students from two classes with educational background in Taipei city. They were asked to join My Partners-Our Partners training workshop (seven hours). Data were collected from observation, interview with the instructor, distributing questionnaire and learning reaction survey. Subjects were asked to observe their assigned peers and filled out the evaluation form of peers' behaviors at the Facebook online learning communities. Results of this research were as following:
1. The “incentive” and “resources” aspects in environment dimension were the most affected factors on students’ behaviors of online learning communities.
2. The most two behaviors the subjects performed at the Facebook online learning communities were “participating” and “knowledge” after the training workshop of My Partners-Our Partners workshop.
3. The My Partners-Our Partners workshop had impacts on improving peers’ interactions and their positive development process of online learning communities.
4. Providing concrete study guide and clear requirements to the subject, understanding the learner’s characteristics, and effectively connecting the learning goals to the contents of the My Partners-Our Partners workshop were primary considerations when peer caring strategies were integrated in university courses.
