本研究比較三種臺語《聖經》譯本的詞彙特色，並探討其成因。三種臺語《聖經》版本分別是1933年的《巴克禮譯本》（一般稱為「白話字聖經」）、1972年由天主教與基督教合譯的「紅皮聖經」以及尚未出版的《現代臺語譯本》。研究結果如下： 一、《巴克禮譯本》在詞彙方面保留較多早期的用語，且多處受到譯者英文母語影響及文言文譯本影響，譯文重視與原文的形式對應。 二、「紅皮聖經」及《現代臺語譯本》在詞彙方面與現代臺語語感較一致，且譯者致力於使用讀者容易理解的措辭，所以這兩個譯本對於現代讀者而言，易讀性較高。

The study is to compare the differences among the three versions of Taiwanese Bible in terms of vocabulary, and to research the reasons of the differences. The three different versions of Taiwanese Bible are the Amoy Romanized Bible (1933), the Ko-Tan Colloquial Taiwanese Version (1972) and the Today's Taiwanese Version (forthcoming). Conclusions：(1)The Amoy Romanized Bible is more likely to keep the vocabulary of an earlier period. Also there are more influences by the translator's mother language and the classical Chinese in syntax. The principle of translation focuses on the formal correspondence. (2)The Ko-Tan Colloquial Taiwanese Version and the Today's Taiwanese Version are more consonant with modern Taiwanese language in vocabulary. The translators made effort to use diction that is understandable to the readers. The above reasons show that the Ko-Tan Colloquial Taiwane se Version and the Today's Taiwanese Version are more readable to the current readers.
