In spite of the colonization by the Japanese in early nineties, Min Nan pop songs flourished in that period. Approximately, there were 500 songs composed and produced, more than 30 come down in these days, and had a glimpse of Taiwanese during those five to six year. Among these, the librettist Chun Yu Chen, as an art manger in a Japan-based disc company, was a key man of the Taiwan New Culture Movement and the popular producer and librettist of Pop Songs in Min Nan Dialect. In the meantime, Chun Yu Chen paid the important role and demonstrated significant contribution in the field of the art. This article was written for discussing the process of Chun Yu Chen from the view point at that time.
