Although ”Tang-Shi Zhai-Chao” an Anthology of Tang Dynasty Poetry was for teaching students, Hang Sheng specially selected Five and Seven-character-quatrains and regular-verses. The anthology consists of 187 Five-character-regular-verses, 84 Five-character-quatrains, 111 Seven-character-regular-verses and 156 Seven-character-quatrains. There are total 538 poems written by 162 poets and Five or Seven-character-regular-verses account for over a half poems in this anthology. Most of the selections are the poems written in the middle and later period of Tang Dynasty. These kinds of poems also account for over half poems. The poems selected by Huang Sheng mainly contains the mature quatrains and regular-verses written in middle and later period of Tang Dynasty, however he analyzed poems in various points of views when he made comments and especially emphasized the importance of order, zhangfa(Textual Rules), sentence and word. This paper helps readers to understand the development of Anthology of Tang Dynasty Poetry in early Qing Dynasty through deeply analyzing the content and features of this anthology and at the same time to realize the value and influence of the anthology in Tang Poem research
