近年來，國民休憩旅遊風氣隨著國民所得提高而蓬勃發展，活動方式漸漸趨向親近自然及體驗原始生活，因此，探訪原住民部落時列為首選，活動型態也從隨意探訪轉向深度旅遊。可見國人在休閒活動選擇的謹慎與重視。然而，居住在山林地區的原住民，因交通不利，謀生管道受阻，須向外發展，使得部落文化失傳與沒落，造成原住民特色、傳統文化的消失。因此，原住民文化要推動、產業要保存，讓部落族人回鄉發展，原住民觀光產業才能永續經營。本研究目的針對來義鄉原住民觀光產業之永續發展進行研究，透過屏東縣原住民各鄉調查其觀光產業現況，統計區域文化和自然資源不同類型所發展出之觀光產業，加以分類有關食、住、行、育、傳統工藝、自然資源、產業等項目，依其休憩功能彙整，歸納觀光產業在屏東縣原住民鄉所發展型態，針對原住民觀光產業經營分析，讓來義鄉在永續經營與觀光產業列入參考。本研究建議來義鄉原住民觀光休憩產業未來發展，應以部落生態旅遊和文化產業結合的類型發展，藉由各村落團結推動生態旅遊與觀光產業，達到鄉內經濟與文化的發展。

In recent years, the trend of leisure and tourism industry is soaring high due to the economic growth. People tend to experience the primitive life and nature instead of wander around randomly. Hence, visiting the Indigenous villages is often chosen as a priority. Nevertheless, the inconvenient traffic and the losing population of the youth are responsible for the disappearing of the traditional tribal cultures and custom. Hence, only by promoting the preservation of the Indigenous cultures will the tourism industry be everlasting. The purpose of the study is to develop a sustainable industry of Indigenous tourism by means of investigating the current status of the Paiwan villages in Pingtung County. All of the cultures and resources are classified into the following types-food, accommodations, transportations, education, traditional arts and crafts, natural resources and analyzed by using the observation and concluding the developing types among the Indigenous villages in Ping-tung County. The result will be used as a reference to the tourism development of Lai-Yi township. It is suggested that the Indigenous tourism industry in Lai-Yi township should combine the tribal culture and eco-tourism by activating the unity of the villagers in order to develop economic and cultural growth within the villages.
