After the relocation, existing and inhabited North Paiwaneseslabstone houses, which use loadbearing front wall for the main structure, in the Dailai, Fawan, Majia villages, and the refurbishment of the front wall now face the problem of preserving the original character and function of the houses. This paper based on the view of appropriate preservation characteristics and appropriate refurbishment structure systems. This study used mixed model methodology, and uses hierarchical separation of the whole construction method, to analyze the existing slabstone bearing wall and the evolution of heterogeneous material types. Than uses the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process and will construct decision-making model for the refurbishment and renovation of the front wall for the slabstone house. There are several decision evaluation factors: elements of renovation the refurbishment of the existing, the assessment of evaluating the refurbishment of the existing slabstone houses, and material and construction elements, the results questionnaires, the integration of hierarchal of relative factors, and the analytical assessments. The purpose of this study is to analyze the material and construction of the front wall, assess the importance of load-bearing slabstone wall in the refurbishment process, which can be used as a construction model for constructing the front wall, the use of different materials for the façade, and the refurbishment assessment indicator. The results will provide a refurbishment reference for the front wall construction material, the load-bearing wall, the selection of different materials, and the heterogeneous composite of materials. The mission of preserving traditional architectural style will be the important decision making policy and reference for future North Paiwanslabstone house renovations.
