本研究的目的在了解國小學生學習活動或教育歷程中父母參與的情形,以及此種參與情形與其家庭社經背景及學生學業成就的關係。經抽取2716名學生父母為對象,進行實際的調查與分析後,共得三項主要的發現:第一,父母參與子女學習活動的情形與子女學業成就具有密切的關係;第二,父母參與子女學習活動的情形與父母本身的社經背景及教育態度具有密切的關係;第三,父母參與、個人因素及家庭社經背景對學生學業成就均具有解釋能力。其中家庭社經背景的重要性尤其顯著,因為家庭社經背景不僅可能透過父母參與而影響子女的成就,且可能透過其他方式影響子女成就。基於此種發現,本研究提出擴大教學參與的範圍、加強參與觀念的溝通及繼續參與問題的研究等建議,藉供學校教師、教育行政及研究人員的參考。
The purpose of this study was to investigate the interrelationship in students' family socieconomic backgrounds, parent involvement, and students' academic achievements in elementary schools. Parents of 2716 students sampled from 20 elementary schools in Taiwan were investigated in this study. The results of this study indicated that students' family socioeconomic backgrounds were positively related to the types of parent involvement, and parent involvement, especially participation in children reading activities, were significantly related to stadent academic achievements. Results are compared with earlier findings and implications for further research are discussed.
