孔子與柏拉圖是東西方兩大思想家，而詩歌在柏拉圖與孔子看來都不僅僅只具有純文學的意義，而是培養具有優秀道德與智慧的治國人才的教育過程的一個有機組成成分。本文作者基於比較哲學、比較文化的思考下，將柏拉圖與孔子的詩歌理論放在他們的教育學、倫理學與哲學的背景下，做一番比較性的考察。

Confucius and Plato are two thinkers respectively in the east and the west. And to both of them, poetry is not only literature but also one organic element of the education system that cultivate statesmen who are morally and intelligently superior. In the sense of comparative philosophy and comparative culture, the writer compares Confucius’s and Plato’s poetics against their respective educational, ethic and philosophical backgrounds.
