Taiwan indigenous peoples whose population is only 2 percent of all residents in Taiwan have their incessant history, multiple clans, distinctive customs and diverse languages which construct parts of Taiwan culture. And then as a reflection of society, literature should emphasize these existing actualities. Hence, taking the exemplary Annual Collection of Selected Poems as an example, this article investigated the appearance and achievement of new poem writing in Taiwan indigenous peoples by two categories which are the non-aborigines' writing about aborigines and the writing of indigenous peoples themselves. Besides, by listing graphic tables containing authors, conditions of publication and social environments and by displaying text of Annual Collection of Selected Poems, this article also analyzed various aspects of new poem writing in indigenous peoples and their cultural intent to cmploy words eagerly to get beyond literature.
