在社會變遷的衝擊下，臺灣報紙對同性戀事件的報導從1985至1990年呈現了三個不同時期的變化發展，但仍顯現某種類似刻板印象。本文試以Cohen有關大眾媒體對偏差(deviance)報導的探討，以及媒體組織、常規對於報導樣態及內容的影響這兩個面向，來說明臺灣同性戀的社會新聞在歷經了三個時期發展之後，為何依然呈現了某種相同的寫作基調，以及這種報導內容的表現和章法具有一致延續性之因。
In response to the impacts of social changes in Taiwan, the news coverage of homosexuality, which has undergone three transitions from 1985 to 1990, has nevertheless retained its stereotypes. This article, drawing upon Cohen’s study of media deviance, attempts to characterize the media coverage of homosexuality along the dimensions of media organization and reutilization and hopefully explains why the media coverage of homosexuality has remained unchanged throughout the three stages.
