This article is part of the sub-project report on Taiwanese Literature and Taiwanese Culture. This article firstly discusses the connotation of “Native Soil Literature,” and takes a bird's eye view on its development. Secondly, it reviews the works of the three most important writers of Taiwanese native soil literature: Chen Ying-chen, Huang Chunming, and Wang Chen-ho, Finally, it compares the literary achievements of these three writers.
