Taiwan is changing from agriculture society to urbanization. The close relationship between people is diminishing. The cohesion power of the community toward its residents is not as strong as before. The residents' feeling, sense and attitude toward their community are getting weaker and weaker. Therefore, the objective of this study is to explore the environmental living experience, community sense and participation attitude of local residents. Using Siyu community, Penghu as a case study, this research employs quota sampling with personal interview to survey respondents at each village. Totally 216 respondents are surveyed. Based on the research findings, this study makes suggestions for the government to help community building their own community senses and participate in their community construction.
