This research attempts to establish and evaluate the empathy training program for a sex offender group in xx Prison, Taiwan. In the establishment of the empathy training program, the key focuses of this research are the core competency of intersubjective narrative thinking, and the two-stages training program based on such rationale. The assessments include Narrative Thinking Grading Criterion, Ko's Sexual Relation Scale, and Interpersonal Behavior Survey. The result of this research reveals three major aspects of change for sex offenders who have participated in this empathy training program, First of all, their general narrative thinking have been improved; next, their tendency of aggressiveness has been reduced; thirdly, they have developed a of tendency toward normalization.
