The development of modern society is the origins of distress and disease. The scientific civilization causes dramatic social changes. From the perspective of social change, people with mental illness are not under medical-gaze, but the reflection of collective social suffering. Recently, clubhouse model provides a new type of service for people with mental illness. The objectives of this article are to look at what’s the ideas of clubhouse model? What’s different with the traditional community psychiatry service? And, it’s impact. The results show the relationship and role between service user and provider have been redefined in Easy House. Clubhouse model views people with mental illness in the way they are able persons, not patients. Moreover, Easy House has developed the strategy of collective narratives from the perspectives of “social suffering” and “social model”. They try to create the space to identify themselves as social community. Under the governance of New-Managerialism, Easy House has to face many challenges and hot issues since they are still of the institution .
