本研究之主要目的在驗證中老年人運動休閒參與程度對主觀幸福感之影響，並探討不同背景變項在主觀幸福感之差異情形。以立意抽樣方式，選擇以屏東縣六個社區健康營造中心成員作為研究對象，回收有效問卷 284 份，有效回收率為 94.7%。資料經結構方程式模式分析與單因子多變量分析結果發現：（一）中、老年人的休閒運動參與程度會顯著影響主觀幸福感。（二）性別、年齡、教育程度等變項在主觀幸福感達顯著差異，而自評身體健康狀況未達顯著差異。
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between leisure exercise participating and subjective well-being among the middle-aged and older persons. Further, to explore the difference of subjective well-being during various backgrounds. By using purposive sampling method, members belonged to six different healthy community centers in Pingtung county were selected. 284 valid data were collected (valid response rate 94.7%) with mailed questionnaire. Data were analyzed by SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) and MANOVA analysis. The results were as follows: (1) participating of leisure exercise would significantly influence subjective well-being (2) gender, age, and educational variables showed significant difference in subjective well-being, while self-rated health did not get the same result.
