本文主張甄拔專業官僚並予發揮空間的威權領袖與強調均富之中山思想亦為形成臺灣經濟奇蹟的重要原因。過去對臺灣經濟奇蹟的解釋有三：三民主義之民生主義學說、資本主義下的自由主義傳統，與民族主義衍伸的發展型國家與中國儒官途徑，多從相關行動者如何補充、完善市場機制邏輯下推演。然而，發展市場不會自動導致均富。如何協調推動以追求共榮共富，這是領導者及其所甄拔之專業官僚的遠見，而形成遠見的願景又受中山思想提供的均富觀念指導，這是臺灣均富奇蹟的來源。

This article argues that Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Three Principles of the People, and its guiding influence on Chiang Kai-Shek and Chiang Jing-Guo's economic policies, is the main reasons for Taiwan's Economic Miracle. Past, studies of Taiwan's economic development identified three ideologies which produced Taiwan's economic development: The Three Principles of the People(Principle of Mínsheng), Nationalism (Developmental State and the China Factor), and Liberal capitalism. But most authors believed these ideologies were used to correct and prefect the market system. However, development does not automatically lead economic equality. This article argues that in order to achieve balanced economic growth, Chiang Kai-Shek and Chiang Jing-Guo carefully selected bureaucratic leaders who had a similar developmental vision. Additionally, the two leaders also implemented special policy measures designed by Sun Yat-sen's Thinking to produce balanced growth. Taken together, these two factors provide a more comprehensive explanation of Taiwan's economic success.
