Tainan is one of the most accumulative coast in Taiwan. This research is based on the viewpoint of geography to analyze how the relationship between nature environment and human devolopment affecting the change of the Tainan coast. First of all, this paper presents each stage of the development of immigration and thus causes the change of cast. Secondly, it narrates the nature background and the possibilities which influence on the human development. The conclusion of this study is that the up-stream area of Tseng-Wen River (曾文溪) is an unstable base of geology. In addition, the climate of this area is the most tempest region in Taiwan. Fragile environment and unfitted development greatly increase the opportunity of erosion and sediment. In each stage, the change of the coast and the response of human behavior is agreed with the history of geography evolution.
