Silicon solar Photovoltaic industry in Taiwan has suffered serious difficulty for longterm development due to the changes of industrial environment and competition from worldwide vertical-integrated competitors. On one hand this difficult situation also leads the industry environment to be getting more and more competitive, and on the other hand the industry also meets the challenge from trend of development of global solar photovoltaic industry. On academic perspective, this research in-depth analyzes to discuss environment, structure, characteristics, trend, and development of Silicon solar Photovoltaic industry in Taiwan based on industry analysis theories. On practical perspective, this research adopts scientific methodology and framework to analyze solar photovoltaic industry with mutual proof by theoretical and empirical study to integrate and propose the general principles and industry observations for reference for the enterprises’ decision making of management in solar photovoltaic industry, and to indentify the development trend and issues of the silicon photovoltaic industry in Taiwan. On methodology, this research integrates historical data, researches to progress exploratory study by qualitative methodology, and adopts quantitative methodology for proof. Members of high-level management teams and experts are in-depth visited for discussion of development strategies of silicon solar photovoltaic industry in Taiwan. In limited time and resiurces, this research proposes the suggstions of development strategy of solar photovoltaic industry in Taiwan for enterprises and government to lead the industry to globalized scale, and to enhance the performance and position of the industry in the world.
