The subject is a school counselor growing up in the countryside. For the past 2 decades, she has witnessed how her growth and culture influence her life, including the personality, the system of value, working attitudes, self-awareness, and relationship etc. Being a school counselor is a job with devotion. However, if the counselor only devotes himself/herself to the job instead of loving himself/herself, sooner or later his/her passion will fade away. The study is to observe one’s various transformations in different stages through narration, practice, and life experience; then, learn how to listen to herself, love herself, accept herself, be herself, and find her own place; finally, believe herself has courage to take risk and challenge, stimulate her potential, and make the dream come true. No matter how good, bad, delightful or sorrowful the process is, only when we have love in our mind do we feel appreciated, which will become our mercy - a gift of love. At school, the researcher does the best to practice the theory (Kai-Chen Wong 2011) – Narrative, Reflection and Practice: A Way to Integrating Teaching, Helping and Research. The article mentions that : in face of texts, it should be “gentlemen make friends through literature, and through friendship increase their benevolence” ; in face of oneself, it should be “I , I speak, I feel, I think, therefore I am” ; in face of others, it’s to correspond and counsel “you, you speak, you feel, you think, therefore you are” ; in the face of groups, it’s “you, you speak ; I , I speak ; he , he speaks ; speaking out how we feel, we think and we are “ ; in the face of changes, it’s to pursue the dialectical, free, harmonized and conceptive progress ; in face of research and publication, it’s to find a form appropriate of oneself and convey it expressively to share and communicate with others. This paper is to help people apply to these concepts in daily life through a true story the researcher would like to share with, and therefore, to improve people’s health mentally and spiritually.
