郭沫若的〈落葉〉，照他自己的說法，乃是以第二任妻子「安娜」（即日本籍女士佐藤富子）寫給他的情書為底本改編的1，亦即將自己的故事改編為小說，寫的是小說主角洪師武與女主角菊子之間的戀曲2的沒有結尾的變奏；差不多相似的時間，郁達夫也寫出了〈南遷〉，寫的恰好也是一段無疾而終的中日戀情。 兩段戀情有著奇特的相似性與相異性，無論是在當時的政治形勢、敘述者的身份與認同問題、基督教信仰的涉入、戀情的結果等等，讓我們發現了這兩位留日的作者都有他們所呈顯出來的異國戀情情結。

Guo Moruo’s Luo-ie was a rewrite based on the letters which were written by his Japanese second wife Anna. The story was about the unfinished love between Hong Shiwu and a Japanese nurse Kikuko；almost the same time, Yu Dafu wrote his novel Nan-qian, which coincidentally was a love story without fruit between a Chinese Foreign student and a Japanese female. Regardless of the contemporary political situations, or the narrator’s subjectivity identification, or the Christian belief, or the consequence of the love, the two love stories have highly sameness and difference. And we find out these two studying abroad authors, in their strong Christian flavor works, showed their unique complex of the Exotic love.
