辭章學是一門研究關於各種文藝作品內容與形式之理論與應用的學科。近來，辭章學的跨領域研究越來越受到重視，無論是進行科際整合或開拓研究語料，都有許多研究者參與。究其緣由，實乃因為辭章學具有三大學科特質，而使其跨界研究得以立足。其中，「融合性」使辭章學能有「多維性研究視角」，也就是能結合辭章學的各種臨近學科，或是借鑒相關的其他領域，提昇辭章學理或使文藝作品的分析更深入；「客觀性」使得辭章學在「廣泛性語料應用」方面，能加以擴大與更新：「橋樑性」則結合上述二者，使辭章學在跨領域研究的理論系統與實踐系統之間，產生雙向互動。

The science of literary work is a subject of the content and form in the study of literary works. The study of interdisciplinary in literary work that includes integration with different disciplines and expanding of objects become more and more important recently. The one of reasons is that there are three subject qualities of the science of literary work. The "integration" connects with close subjects or makes triangulation of other domains to improve the research. The "objectivity" enlarges and renews the objects of study. The "bridge" links up the theory with practice of the interdisciplinary and makes two-way interaction between those.
