本研究旨在探討身心障礙者自我概念與生活適應間之關聯程度。經分析13篇文獻與15個效應量(N =2,432)所提供的訊息後,本研究發現身心障礙者的自我概念與生活適應間具有顯著正相關與大效應量(r=.70)。就單一障礙類別而言,聽覺障礙者、肢體障礙者與學習障礙者之加權平均效應量依序為.69、.71與.70,均為顯著正相關與大效應量。文末並針對研究發現提出有關實務工作與未來研究方面的具體建議。
This present study applied meta-analysis to inquire the correlation between self-concept and life-adjustment of people with disabilities based on 13 studies (k = 15, N = 2,432). The results showed the weighted mean effect size was .70, meaning a significant positive correlation and a large effect size. Besides, weighted mean effect sizes of people with hearing impairments, physical impairments and learning disabilities were .69, .71 and .70, meaning significant positive correlations and large effect sizes. There were still suggestions about practice and future studies indicated in the end of this article.
