     台灣原住民學童因為許多不利的因素,造成其學業成就低落,而中輟率也較一般 學童偏高。在國內對於學生中輟的研究篇數不多,而對於原住民學生中輟的研究更是有限。 本研究欲從個人、學校、家庭、同儕及社會等面向切入,探究一個台東縣國中原住民中輟生 的輟學因素。本研究以歸因理論為架構,以質性研究為取向,採用半結構性訪談、深度訪談 等研究方法,探討原住民輟生對自已輟學的歸因歷,以及這個歸因歷程對其日後復學的動機 及學習所上可能產生影響。本研究也嘗試經由訪談學生的老師、家長和同學,聯結教師、家 長對孩子的成敗歸因與學童的自我歸因間的關係,以推論原住民學生中途輟學的因素。研究 的結果將可供原住民學童父母、教育者及教育決策單位參考。
     Due to many disadvantage factors encountered by them, indigenous students in Taiwan often show poorer academic performance and higher dropout rate. In Taiwan, there exist very limited studies focusing on dropout problems, and those specifically on the problem of indigenous students are even less. This study examined the causal factors for the dropout behavior of a junior high indigenous student in Taiwan from different perspectives (namely, individual, school, family, and social). Taking Weiner's attribution theory as their major research frame, the authors conducted this qualitative study using methods such as semi-structural interviewing and in-depth interviewing to explore the student's causal attribution processes. The authors also tried to find the linkages among the student's causal attribution processes. The authors also tried to find the linkages among the student's attribution, and those of the parents and the teacher. The results of this study provide some insights for parents and educators of Taiwan's indigenous students.
