The main purpose of this study was to explore into the marriage model's characteristics and influences of background factors of elementary and secondary school teachers. This study analyzed the data from “Social Change Survey in Taiwan 1997”. According to the main purpose, “Crosstabs Table” and “Logistic Regression analysis” were adopted. The major findings were as following: (1)The highest percentage was the intermarriage between elementary and secondary school teachers with white-collar occupational class. (2) Nearly 80 percent, those whom elementary and secondary school teachers married were working white-collar occupational class. (3)The lowest percentage that the male elementary and secondary school teachers married full-time housewives than other occupations. (4)The comparative analysis of elementary and secondary school teachers' gender found, there was a higher percentage of males' who married the same occupational workers than the females'. However, there was a higher percentage of females' who married different occupational workers than the males'. (5)Personal occupation, gender and educational level were three major influencing factors for elementary and secondary school teachers' marriage. Other background factors played no significant role in elementary and secondary school teachers' marriage.
