French Novel «La joueuse de go» by French Chinese writer-Shan sa published in 2003, tells a love story between a teenage Chinese girl and a Japanese solder during the period of pseudo-Manchuria regime. A similar case happened in the film of «Purple Butterfly» published in the same year directed by Lo-Yeh where a Chinese spy falls in love with a Japanese one. Solder and the young girl's love, spy and his enemy’s ambiguous love, in confronting war political situation, they still love each other crazily in a “counter” way, despite the social class, the cross-countries hatred.Based on the parallel research in Thematology, the paper tries to analyze the “counter-love” theme in«La joueuse de go» and «Purple Butterfly». Through the roles of the hero, and the complex plot, we will attempt to explain the “otherness” in the two texts, as well as the “images” of others, aiming to reveal finally the identities of these overseas Chinese.
