The analytic method of table tennis rarely considers the aspect of tactics. Also, past researchers seldom incorporate personality when they analyze the athlete's math. Thus, the purpose of this study is to build an analytic method of table tennis which includes tactics and personality. This study develops an "analytic model of table tennis of the first three hits" based on athletes' personality. We used table tennis athletes as our subjects from 2013 National College Athletic Game and the Tenth invitational tournament held by Tamkang University in Taiwan. Video camera records of each game were made and the personality survey was conducted after games. The videos were analyzed to build win and failure model by personality, and the advices of choosing athletes, training and competing were proposed. We conclude our study as follows: 1. "the analytic model of table tennis of the first three hits" provides a new aspect to analyze athletes' tactics in the match. We hope this new tool can bring about more different perspectives for better training of table tennis athletes; 2. we found that athletes with different personality can be shaped as different types of players. Such as athletes with steadfast personality can be trained as sliced and heterogeneous-bat players; athletes with rational personality can be shaped as comprehensive players; athletes with self-control personality can be trained as slice-attack, loop-drive combined with quick attack players. Athletes with aggressive personality can be shaped as both-side loop-drive and quick attack players.
