　　　　　本研究採取質的內容分析的方法，從國中生自陳的作文資料中，分析其死亡概念與死亡態度，包括任何與死亡有關的想法、了解、感受、態度與經驗等等，並希根據研究結果，提出具體建議，作為教育與輔導之參考。受到質的研究法與時間之限制，本研究僅以高雄市某國中二年級某班學生計 51 名為樣本，作逐一的分析。研究結果如下：一、就國中生了解死亡的年齡而言：國中生自學前階段（ 7 歲以前）即已開始了解死亡，至小學階段（ 7 至 12 歲）對死亡的了解更趨明確，至國中階段（ 13 歲以後）更達於成熟的理解。二、就國中生接觸的死亡經驗而言：國中生多有接觸死亡相關事件的經驗，尤以「祖父母（內、外祖父母）的去世之經驗為多，次為「飼養動物死去」的經驗，另外諸如朋友、陌生人、媒體上的人物、其他動植物的死亡等經驗，均對國中生的死亡概念及死亡態度產生或深或淺的影響。三、就國中生的死亡概念而言：就國中生的作文資料反映出對死亡的了解及感受，可以推論其對死亡的概念已臻成熟，且多反映出對死亡的「普遍性」之了解。影響國中生死亡概念的因素除年齡發展外，亦見死亡經驗及大眾傳播媒體的影響。四、就國中生的死亡態度而言：國中生反映出對死亡的態度大部份是很多感受並存交雜著，多是在接受的態度中亦另有恐懼、害怕、無奈、憐憫．．．．等等情緒；只有少數反映出單一的恐懼、害怕的情緒。從國中生描述的文字中，可以發現其死亡態度受死亡經驗的影響甚鉅；另多呈現在認知上已接受死亡，情緒上則有恐懼、逃避、無奈．．．．等等反映，其死亡概念亦影響他們對死亡的態度，另大眾傳播媒體亦影響其死亡態度。研究結果之建議，分就學校教育、家庭教育及社會教育三大方面，提出死亡教育實施的可行措施，並檢討研究之限制，提供三方面進一步研究的建議。

　　　　　The study aims to explore the death concepts and death attitudes of junior high school students. The datas were collected and analysised with qualitative method (content analysis) from the self-report writings focused on anythings about death. Due to the limitation of study methodolgy and time, the subjects were sampled only from a class of 51 second-grade students at a junior high school in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, R.O.C. The results were summarized as the follows: 1. The students started to understand the meanings of death at about the time before they went to the primary school (before 7 Yrs.). Their death concepts became more difinite during the primary schooling phase, and became more mature in the junior high schooling phase. 2. Most of the students has contacted with some kinds of death experiences. The death of grandparents was the most proportion, the death of the animals raised at home (ex. pets) was the second. 3. The death concepts of the students were very mature and most of them understood the concept of universality about death. Age, the experiences connecting with death events and the mass-,media were the factors influencing the death concepts of the students. 4. The attitudes of the students were very multiple and complicated. They were aware the meanings of death, yet they also felt anxious, terrible, commiserative, or having no alternative about death. Their concepts about and the mass-media concerning death influenced the students' death attitudes very much. The recommendations of the research would be death education carried out at school, in family and in society. And some suggestions for futher research were provided.
