In this thesis, official documents are used to explain the process of the marriage between the Aborigine and the Han, and the separation policy to the marriage from the Ching government (1683~1895). Using the cultural structure of the aboriginal matriarchy system was an efficient method for the Han to enter the aboriginal societies, to cope with difficulties in the aboriginal cultural environments, and to capture land resources from the Aborigine. It was also an important avenue to eventually get into the elite status of the Han society. The marriage between the Aborigine and the Han therefore became an important beginning for the Han to extract the aboriginal territory and resources.
