本論文試圖追溯臺灣八○年代小劇場運動當中烏托邦理念的源頭。本文將從西方烏托邦的理念開始討論，並試圖呈現藝術烏托邦的概念如何在烏托邦理念中形成。根據詹明信的觀點，烏托邦理念可以區分為兩大脈絡：烏托邦作為一種計畫以及烏托邦作為一種衝動。接著我們將從上述二者的歷史脈絡當中，詮釋出兩種藝術烏托邦概念：作為公共領域的藝術烏托邦，以及藝術活動自身自足為一種烏托邦狀態。最後，我們將以上述二種類型的藝術烏托邦，來分析臺灣小劇場藝術烏托邦理念的狀態。
This essay tries to trace the root of the Utopian ideas of Taiwan Little Theater Movement back to its western origin. At first, I will survey how the ideas of Utopia turn into the ideas of art Utopia in western history. And that work will be done by employing Jameson theory as the starting point. According to Jameson's theory, there are two major kinds of Utopian ideas: the Utopia as a program, and the Utopia as the impulse. After that, I will illustrate how these two become two different kinds art Utopia: the art Utopia as the public sphere, and the art as the art Utopia itself. Finally, I will take the ideas of art Utopia as approach to investigate the Utopian ideas of Taiwan Little Theater Movement.
