本論文之撰寫，乃以張秀亞的新詩創作中，詩題包含「四季」（春、夏、秋、冬）為名的作品為研究主體。取材對象除了《張秀亞全集》收錄的詩作之外，亦包含其他尚未收錄於「全集」的詩作。研究的方向，則分別從形式和內容觀察，且參考前人的系列論述與作者的個人見解，以分析張秀亞新詩的四季書寫特色，及其被賦予的意義與價值
