In this essay, the author takes Free-China Bimonthly as an example, a political criticism magazine published in 1950s Taiwan, and plans to prove that (1) KMT Reformation was the unique factor in the field of 1950s Taiwan political discourse; (2) the re-self-definition of revolutionary democratic party was the outcome of KMT reformation; (3) the political discourses between Free-China Bimonthly and KMT constituted the main outline of field of 1950s Taiwan political discourse; (4) 'democracy,' 'individual freedom,' 'rule of law' and 'party politics' were the unavoidable subjects with a set of unique discursive strategies in 1950s Taiwan political discourse.
