The main purpose of this study is to explore the homeland curriculum material development in Taiwan County. It attempts to understand the background of the development, the content of the project, the process of the editing, policy-making and the curriculum material design, etc. In the aspect of study method, the study used observation, interview, and document analysis. The following conclusions were obtained through the analysis. 1. The content of the project lacked continual, systematic, and thorough arrangement. 2. The planning and construction of curriculum material development needs improvement. 3. The members of curriculum material development had teaching experience, but they were short of abilities for curriculum material design. 4. The process of curriculum material development excluded two-way communication and critical thinking. 5. The administration of education paid much attention to development. Putting it into practice made a good point in the down-to-up educational reform. Based on the conclusions, suggestions were given as a reference for the practice of homeland curriculum material development for the future.
