     課程發展是一個繼續不斷的修正歷程。學校本位課程發展成了目前教育改革的重心之一,主要是期望學校課程能立即反應社會變遷所帶來的議題,考量學校在特殊環境下的脈絡,展現課程活潑彈性的特質,以滿足學生學習的需求。在學校本位課程發展中,課程發展和評鑑是一體兩面的活動,評鑑不僅在了解課程的優缺點,更要藉以改進課程品質。本文作者認為學校本位課程評鑑應是一種行動研究,一種協商、合作、和學習的過程。評鑑主要發揮它的形成性功能,作為診斷、改進、修正的參考;同時也具有啟蒙的作用,以作為意義的追求和專業成長的功能。文中也就評鑑的途徑、範圍、參與人員和評鑑標準提出討論,以作為實施學校本位課程評鑑的參考。
