The purposes of the study were to explore the development of curriculum evaluation in Taiwan. After the literature review, the study proposed the three development periods of curriculum evaluation in Taiwan, analyzed the eight problems of curriculum evaluation, understood the five development trends of curriculum evaluation, and proposed seven recommendations about curriculum evaluation. The seven recommendations were as follow: 1. developing the systematic curriculum evaluation. 2. developing the supplementary system of curriculum evaluation. 3. studying the curriculum evaluation indicators more perfect. 4. researching the strategies and process about curriculum evaluation. 5. removing the threat of teachers about curriculum evaluation and cultivating the teachers’ profession about curriculum evaluation. 6. studying the curriculum evaluation prolonged in national level and providing the curriculum reform. 7. reflecting and renewing of curriculum evaluation self.
