Cable TV has the factions of mass communication and community medium, presenting the various cultures as well reflecting the endemic opinions. However the concept of social responsibility of enterprises has already been developed. The atmosphere that the enterprises hold and participate in corporate philanthropy has gradually flourished. This research therefore aims to probe the present situations of corporate philanthropies, relevant effects and elements of the cable TV business in Taiwan. Cable TV businesses were examined by in-depth interview in counties of Yunlin and Chiayi in Taiwan. besides, the literature assists this interview to analyze the circumstances of the operation of corporate philanthropies. The results are as following. The main social responsibilities, to feed back locals and to fulfill society consciousness. They emphasize the value and cultivation while they evaluate the activities. Its products offering and irregular financial donation are the main ways the enterprise chose. Levels of enterprise participations are positive to profits earning, high-ranking managers supporting, the number of employee and clients. The primary types of activities are society construction, society welfare and schooling. The vital influences to the enterprises are able to take advantages to establish their image and to enhance the coherence of employee. Human and material resources are mostly taken to support non-profit organizations.
