現存北齊的石刻零落、殘存，乃盡人皆知。論量雖不算多，但若能逐一解讀其內容，意義卻非常重大。今後若能巧用人類置放在地下的「墓誌」檔案，依期正確的時間與原始資料的實性，確實方便學者用來釐定歷史上的錯誤及考證、匡補缺漏的史實。歷代的各家學者能夠注意收集保存金石上的刻辭，及以提高金石學的地位，其功真正大矣！舉凡所列於墓誌中的官銜、世系、風俗、地理、文學、書法、文字…等，均已成為學界所珍視的重要參考材料。解讀〈婁叡墓誌〉銘文，挖掘此張拓片所蘊含的文字資料，以建立出北齊右丞相婁叡個人之身世、生平事蹟等的相關資料。不但擴充〈婁叡墓誌〉在其他相關學科(南北朝、北朝、北齊…等)研樂的新資料補充；更期望引發出其它關聯性的研究。是故，釋讀〈婁叡墓誌〉銘文，成為本論文的基礎工作。

It is well known that the extant rock inscriptions form the Northern Qi (sixth century) are sparse and incomplete. Although their number is not very large, there is great significance if we can understand their contents in depth. Epitaphs, when properly understood, often provide information that can be used by scholars to correct erroneous historical information. Scholars through the ages have collected epigraphical texts. These provide scholars with valuable information about official positions, family ;lineages, customs, geography, literature, calligraphy, Chinese characters, and more. Through a careful reading of the Lou Rui Epitaph with an analysis of linguistic materials, we can construct biography of Right counselor-in-chief Lou Rui. Thus it is the goal of this paper to integrate relevant historical information in an analysis of the Lou Rui Epitaph.
