Both Taiwan and the United States held presidential election in 2016, DPP's Tsai Ying-wen and Republican Donald John Trump respectively won the election. The results of the election have stimulated huge changes in politics, and the traditional theory of voting behavior could not fully explain this phenomenon. There is necessary to analyze how to grasp public opinion, it would be an important issue of voting behavior analysis. Different from the gradual change in the past, we can call the phenomenon of huge political changes in the 2016 election "flipped politics" , it is inspired by the term "flipped classroom" used in education field. From this point of view, we discuss the reasons why and the impacts of the Taiwan presidential election. This study analyzes the voters' public opinion on the cross-strait relations and the voting behavior under the political party's identity, and takes into account the practical experience of the 2016 election.
