The purpose of this research is to explain the imageries of "Memory" in Taiwan's modern poetry. According to this research, memory displays not only images of history, but also the function of collective consciousness in society and culture. Memory includes two parts of reality: description and exceeding. Therefore, memory writings are a collage of creative skills and inlaying things with meaning and power. Based on the theme of memory, this research explores different themes and types of Modern Taiwanese Poetry; moreover, analyzes it from historical and culture contexts. This paper dialectally discusses, memory writings in poetry, which also forms related discussions on transnational and multidisciplinary aspects of poetry. After making memory writings an issue for discussion, as a result, the paper finds that many memory writings not merely show the elasticity of Taiwan literatures, but also shows one facet of Taiwanese literature research. By analyzing the production process of memory writings in different periods, this paper shows that such writings reflect two elements that are included in Modern Taiwanese Poetry: the nature of Taiwanese and the transnationality; moreover, multiple and chaning relationships of these elements are displayed through memory writings
