本研究之目的在了解大學生的學習參與情形與各種學習成果的關係。經抽取1246名大學生為對象,進行實際的調查與分析後,共得兩項主要的發現:第一,就整體而言,五項學術性參與變項 (如課堂學習的質與量、課餘學習的質與量等) 對大學生的學業成就、個人發展與認知發展等學習成果,均有顯著的預測力;而六項社會性參與變項 (如社團參與的質與暈、同儕互動的質與量等) 則僅能預測學生的個人發展與認知發展。第二,就個別比較,課堂參與的品質與各項學習成果均具有密切的關係,社團參與的數量與時間對各項學習成果均無預測力,而其餘學習參與變項與學習成果的關係則因學習成果的類別而有不同。例如課餘學習的時間與學生的認知發展及學業成就有關,但同儕互動的數量則僅與學生的個人發展與認知發展有關。 基於上述的發現,本研究提出提高課堂參與的品質、增加學生課餘的學習負擔、增進師生參與非正式互動、重視學生社團參與的指導、以及繼續擴大學生學習參與問題的研究等五項建議,藉供大學教育與輔導工作人員的參考。
This study examined the association between college students' involvement in learning and various outcomes of college. 1246 students sampled from six universities and colleges in Taiwan were investigated in this study. The results of this study indicated that students' classroom involvement are reliably related to their academic achievement, personal and intellectual development, but students' involvement in campus organizations (number of organizations or hours spent in organization activities) are not significantly related to those educational outcomes. Moreover, the other students' involvement variables (ex. peer interaction, student­faculty informal interaction, etc.) are respectively reliably related to each of the three outcomes. Results are compared with earlier findings and implications for further research are discussed.
