本研究透過敘說探究與建制民族誌,來進入處在不同高等教育機構與位置之女性主義教師的生活世界,以瞭解女性主義教師在大學工作的處境與女性主義教學實踐。藉由檢視學校的組織結構、關係與文化,描繪與分析不同機構類本研究透過敘說探究與建制民族誌,來進入處在不同高等教育機構與位置之女性主義教師的生活世界,以瞭解女性主義教師在大學工作的處境與女性主義教學實踐。藉由檢視學校的組織結構、關係與文化,描繪與分析不同機構類型的大學女性主義教師遭逢的共同機構因素的阻礙與困境,及如何面對這些挑戰與發展出抗拒內外在壓迫的策略。基於此,本研究的發現與建議是:1.性別化的校園,如校園中的性別差異與再現、組織文化與建制、工作負擔。2.機構因素的阻礙與困境,包括失衡的教學、學生是「受教育者」非學習者、角色期待及被迫消音與沉默。3.發展因應與抗拒策略,提出「定位閱讀」與「機構識讀能力」的概念和四個具體對應策略。本文希冀藉由「定位閱讀」與「機構識讀能力」的主張,期使女性主義教師能夠更有意識的覺知在機構中的定位及穿透組織的意識型態符碼與建制規範,進而發展出切合環境脈絡的女性主義教育學實踐路徑,增能主體的能動性與跨界能力,以使教育作為自由的實踐成為可能。
This study attempts to utilize the method of narrative inquiry with an institutional ethnography approach to study feminist teachers' lives to ground feminist pedagogy. It explores how those feminist teachers who teach in higher education practice feminist pedagogy in their classrooms and examine the various ways in which social forces (especially institutional barriers) shaped feminist teaching practice. This study also provides strategies to personal/professional implications for feminist teachers of resisting the institution.
