本文主要是運用Excel系統中的「樞紐分析」統計技術，以及次數分配（frequency）和百分比（%）來統計分析金門地區軍事精英背景因素的結構。經研究發現：金門地區軍事精英至2010年1月1日止，共計晉升中將者有7人次；少將者有48人次。在這些人的背景因素中，尌學校別來看：少將中最多的是陸軍官校有27位，佔總數的56.25%；其次是政治作戰學校有8位，佔總數的16.67%；第3是憲兵學校有5位，佔總數的10.42%。中將部分，一樣以陸軍官校畢業者最多有5位，佔總數的71.43%；其次分別是空軍通校及政戰學校各1位，分別佔總數的14.29%。尌原籍地來看：少將中居住於金城鎮的有20位，佔總數的41.67%；其次是居住在金湖鎮有8位，佔總數的16.67%；第3是居住在金沙鎮及烈嶼鄉各有7位，分別佔總數的14.58%；最後是居住在金寧鄉有6位，佔總數的12.50%。中將部分居住於金城鎮及金沙鎮各有3位，分別佔總數的42.86%；其次是居住在烈嶼鄉的有1位，佔總數的14.29%。

By using the statistical technique offered by Excel‟s Pivot Analysis and frequency distribution as well as percentages, the article in question aims to analyze the composition of military elites in Kinmen Area. In the process, we have realized that, as of January 1 2010, 7 of the armed forces elites deployed in the Kinmen Area were promoted as lieutenant generals and 48 as major generals. As we check the background of these servicemen in terms of educational institutes, as many as 27 new major generals are graduates from the R.O.C. Military Academy at 56.25% of all newly promoted major generals, followed by the Fu Hsing Kang College, NDU, R.O.C., which produced 8, at 16.67% of the total number of new major generals and in the third place comes the Military Police Academy, with 3 and at 10.42% of the total number of new major generals. As of the lieutenant generals, on top of the list comes the R.O.C. Military Academy that delivered 5, at 71.43% of the total number of newly promoted lieutenant generals, followed by the Air Force Institute of Technology and the Fu Hsing Kang College, NDU, R.O.C., which produced 1 each, at 14.29% of the total number. As we check the native place of the military elites, 20 newly-promoted major generals are residents in Jincheng Township, suggesting 41.67% of the total number of the newly-promoted lieutenant generals, followed by 8 who live in Jinhu Township, at 16.67% and in the third place come 7 who live in Jinsha Township and Lieyu Township, suggesting 14.57% of the total number and finally come 6 residents in Jinning Township, at 12.50% of the total number of the newly-promoted major generals. When it comes to the lieutenant generals, 3 are residents in Jincheng Township and Jinsha Township each, at 42.86% of the total number of the newly-promoted 2-star generals and 1 lives in Lieyu Township, at 14.29% of the total number of the new lieutenant generals.
