問題導向學習已經被廣泛應用在許多的專業領域學習上,因為這種學習方法能有效促進各領域的專業成長。問題導向學習的教學可以使學生成為具有批判思考能力的學習者,同時擁有分析、解決複雜的真實世界問題的能力,且具備口語及書寫的溝通技巧,在群組中與人合作,妥適使用資訊資源,成為終身學習的學習者。本文主要目的在介紹新加坡共和理工學院如何以「一天一問題」的問題導向學習教學模式,來達到學校培養實務導向而且具有知識的中階專業人才的目標,並因應且配合新加坡在知識經濟時代高等教育機構在國家發展技術人力上的需求,以新加坡共和理工學院的例子,藉以檢討台灣高等教育的定位以及特色發展的省思。
