本研究旨在探討嘉義縣社區發展協會中高齡群體休閒活動參與動機及生活適應發展之現況和關聯性。本研究採用描述性統計分析以瞭解嘉義縣社區發展協會中高齡群體樣本結構，再以Cronbach's α係數檢驗問卷題目上的一致性與穩定性。最後，以Amos16.0進行驗證性因素分析、模式之參數估計、假設檢定與整體模式之適合度檢定以瞭解研究之因果模式與實際資料之間的適配程度。而在本研究抽樣上，以分層抽樣策略抽測嘉義縣18個鄉鎮市各30份，並利用立意抽樣策略抽取各鄉鎮市之社區發展協會50歲以上的中高齡群體。本研究在102年7月～8月間共計發出540份問卷，經刪除份無效問卷67份後實得有效問卷473份，問卷有效回收率為87.59%。研究結果得知，研究假設均成立及參與動機對生活適應具有顯著影響力。本研究依據研究結果提出相關具體建議。

This study aimed to discuss the current situation and relation of participation motivation of leisure activities and life adjustment and development of middle-aged groups of community development associations in Chiayi County. It adopted descriptive statistical analysis to comprehend the structure of samples of the middle-aged groups of community development associations in Chiayi County, and the consistency and stability of subjects on the questionnaire were tested with Cronbach’s coefficient a. Finally, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), parameter estimation of a model， hypothesis testing and goodness of fit test of the entire model were conducted with Amos 16.0 to comprehend the cause and effect model of the study and the goodness of fit among actual data. The study adopted stratified sampling to sample 18 towns in Chiayi County with the distribution of 30 copies of the questionnaire in each town, and purposive sampling was employed to sample the middle-aged groups over 50 years old of community development associations in each town. 540 copies of the questionnaire were distributed in July and August, 2013，and after 67 invalid ones were eliminated, 473 of them were considered valid with a 87.59% valid response rate. The study results showed that the hypotheses were tenable and that participation motivation had significant influence on life adjustment. Related and concrete suggestions are proposed on the basis of the study results.
