     理想的教學條件之一,是使學生經常維持高度的學習動機,學習動機雖然是學生自身的學習條件,但動機的激發與維持,則與教師的教學策略和方法有密切的關係。本研究探應學習動機的目的有三:其一、介紹有關學習動機的四派理論。分別是Atkinson的成就動機理論,Rotter的制握信念,Seligman的習得無理論以及Weiner的歸因理論。其二,闡述各派理論的實證研究結果。其三,建議正確教常原則,以期有助於培養學生的學習動機,並建立學生的信心,以便對未來做適當的成就期望。
     The purpose of this paper was to examine four major theories in the field of motivation that are particularly relevant to education. These four theories were? Atkinson-Achievement motivation theory ? Rotter-locus of control ? Seligman-learned helplessness ? Weiner-attribution theory. A quantitative review of research was conducted to investigate these theories form a theoretical perspective as well as field experiments. Finally, the applications of these theories to educational issues are discussed.
