     隨著全球化(globalization)程度的加深,新科技、新資訊、新媒體的快速發展,如何增進學習者的創造力與批判思考能力,達成提昇國民素質與國家發展競爭力的目標,相信是所有教育工作者所共同關心的。本研究基於創造力與批判思考能力的重要,乃選擇師院「通識課程數理科目」之「地球科學」進行探究,研究重點針對地球科學課程與教學中的創造力與批判思考能力進行探討。研究方法採用質性分析研究。 研究結果顯示:1.創造力與批判思考能力對師院而言,是可教的。2.透過多樣化的活動與策略的教學,從職前教師的創造性思考經驗、創造性產品的呈現、與期末創造作品等結果發現,這些教學策略與模組確實有助於促進師院職前教師的創造力。3.批判思考教學活動與策略,具有澄清師院職前教師科學概念的功效。 建議:有關融入創造力與批判思考能力的教學活動與策略,值得作為未來推展創造力與批判思考能力教學的參考。
     The purpose of this study is to explore the outcomes of preservice teachers' creativity and critical thinking on earth science instruction in a Teachers College. Qualitative methods are used in this study. There are four preservice teachers participating in this study. The results of this study are stated as follows: 1. For preservice teachers, creativity and critical thinking are teachable. 2. The instructional activities and strategies used in this study do improve preservice teachers' creativity and critical thinking. 3. The instructional strategies of critical thinking also help preservice teachers in clarifying their science concepts.
