The main purposes of this article are to explore some questions concerned with how to begin and how to participate in action research. The methods consist of literature review and a reflection upon one of the educational action research done by the author himself. The article concludes that if teachers/educators are willing to improve their educational practices, then, they can start their action research. They can invite volunteers to participate, become concerned with the situations they want to change, of develop capabilities in the areas they want to explore as part in their action research. They can also invite those who come from different backgrounds of living contexts to participate their action researches. Besides, they can invite people who are more familiar with the themes they want to explore or the process of action researches to co-guide their action researches.
