The purpose of this study is to explore research approaches on educational evaluation between Taiwan and the United States. This study acquires and analyzes 905 articles between 1993-2003 from Chinese Electronic Thesis & Dissertation System, Chinese Publication & Journal System, Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC), and ProQuest Digital Dissertations. Content analysis and comparative study are conducted to describe, define, and compare differences and similarities of research approaches between the two nations. At the end of study, we provide some suggestions and implications for Taiwan's schools as well as future researches on the subject.
